The Midwestern Society of Orthodontists (MSO) is a constituent of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). We are comprised of approximately 1,380 members across the component states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, as well as the Canadian province of Manitoba. Since 1939, the MSO has continuously strived to support the AAO mission by providing helpful resources, clear communication and strong leadership to component societies and individual members.
2014 MSO Earl E. Shepard Distinguished Service Award Recipient
Join colleagues at the business meeting in honoring Dr. Arnie Hill (Minnesota) as the 2014 MSO Earl E. Shepard Distinguished Service Award winner. MSO's annual service award recognizes a person who exemplifies the ideals of the orthodontic profession and has made exemplary contributions to the art and science of orthodontics.
Dr. Hill has served the majority of his career as staff consultant at the Mayo Clinic; part of that time as its Program Director. He has left a positive impact on our specialty through his service as president of MSO (1996-97) in addition to serving as delegate and Reference Committee Chair for many years, and as chair of COSA helping to develop the first Orthodontic Treatment Guidelines.
