The annual business meeting of the South Dakota Society of Orthodontists was planned to coincide with the AAO Annual Session in Denver. Due to a minimal number of members attending, the meeting instead is planned for the summer months via telephone conference (date and time yet to be announced). Revisions to the Society bylaws and ideas regarding annual meetings, attendance and speakers will be discussed.

Effective October 2008, Dr. Ryan Van Laecken, Watertown, will become the SDSO Communications Director, succeeding Dr. Crist whose term expires.

Members who have any news items, component questions or suggestions are encouraged to contact any of the SDSO officers.
